Store Print Server FAQ 

 Introduction: 

  1. Every Daniels Retail Store has 1 Print Server.
  2. The device is powered by a single power source and connects to the rear end of the device.
  3. The Print Server make the connection between a Roll Printer (please look at the document called What is a Print Server) and a Front Counter Switch (Please look at the document called What is a Front Counter Switch)

Question: Where/How to locate the Print Server in the store?  

Answer: This Print Server is installed on the Front Counter area. The Print Server is installed between the Roll Printer (please look at the document called What is a Print Server) and the Front Counter Switch (Please look at the document called What is a Front Counter Switch) 

Question: What is the function of a Print Server?  

Answer: A Print Server will store the (Layer 3 Information | EX: IP/SUBNET/GATEWAY) for a Roll Printer allowing the Roll Printer to talk to the other devices in a network environment.
