Store Roll Printer FAQ

Store Roll Printer FAQ

 Introduction:

  1. Every Daniels Retail Store has 1 Roll Printer (Credit Approval Printer)
  2. This printer is installed on the Front Counter.
  3. The device is powered by a single power source and connects to the rear end of the printer.

Question: Where/How to locate Workstation/PC/Desktop/POS in the store?

Answer: The Roll Printer is connected to the Front Counter Switch through a Print Server (please look at the document called What is a Print Server).

Question: What is the function of the Roll Printer?

Answer: Roll Printers are connected to the Credit Director Application. Central Credit Dept uses Credit Director Applications to make the credit approval decisions for our customers. After making the approval decision, Central Credit Dept uses this printer to send the Credit Approval to the stores.

In another words, when a store is seeking Credit Approval from the Central Credit Department, they will receive their decision through this printer (in printed format).
